Sauvignon Blanc is one of hose wines that has really distinct quality levels. Most are fresh and crisp. Some have more fruit, some have lots of grassy notes. Wines in all of those styes can be good to very good. If you add some oak you get another wine entirely, also good and a style I enjoy. Then there are Sauvignon Blancs that take the quality to a whole different level. They are elegant, complex, with some texture and a long clean finish. You can just taste and feel that this is a superior wine in its class. Below is one such wine.
Wine: 2021 Routestock Napa Sauvignon Blanc

Tasted By: Neil & Cheri Date: March 2024
Tasting Notes: light golden yellow in color, this has an elegant nose of peach, pear, hawthorne, a little spice and some lemon. Just about medium bodied, with good texture, the palate is pretty wonderful and complex. We loved this wine. It is a superior Sauvignon Blanc.

Would We Buy It? – oh yes. This is a superior wine all around.
If you’re going to spend close to $30 on a Sauvignon Blanc, you expect something pretty special. This meets those expectations.
