Last night we opened a bottle of 2007 Titolo. This is an Aglianico del Vulture, which I had only tried once before but took a shot at since the price seemed right and it had some pretty solid ratings. Both Cheri and I agree that this is a very, very good wine. The nose is full of brooding black fruit with a little jamminess. Lots of black fruit on the palate as well. It is very long, and at the end comes in with hint of orange and amaretto (I got the orange, Cheri got the Amaretto). Since we picked this up for less than $20 it falls into the once or twice a week category. The difficult part will be to not drink it all too quickly.
