Here’s a solid bottle of wine from a producer that is a pretty safe bet when it comes to providing value.
Wine: 2019 Chloe Cabernet Sauvignon San Lucas – Monterey County
Winery Location: Livermore, CA
Tasted By: Neil & Cheri Date: September 2022
Tasting Notes: A medium dark, purple red wine, this has a nose of berry, cherry, oak and floral notes. The fruit is tending toward a candied quality. There is also some mint. The palate is frit driven with medium tannins. This has medium+ body. The fruit holds well through the mid-palate, with nice length at the end. That end is laced with caramel. Overall a really nice wine, especially for the price.
Price Point – $12, and a great value there.
Would We Buy It? – We did and we will. This is a very pleasing bottle of California Cabernet Sauvignon for short money. Maybe not for you if you like your fruit lean and mean, but if you like it rich and generous, well, this fits the bill.
Another good value in California Cabernet, from a producer that specializes in good value, quality wine. We recommend it.
