Horizontal tasting of Pride Mountain wines. The winery and vineyards actually straddle the Napa and Sonoma county lines, so it is kind of two wineries in one. They used to sell grapes to some of the most famous names in Napa wine making but now they keep all their fruit. The wines were great (including a white). Full tasting notes to follow on the tastings page.
This was a prelude to the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival Grand Tasting tomorrow and Sunday. Looking forward to it. We’ll do a write up of that as well soon.
If Newport wasn’t a big enough clue we are in Rhode Island, so you’ll see a New England flair here. We do get around though, and the cellar is international by nature!
Thanks to Stuart Bryan and Suzanne Pride Bryan for an enjoyable, informative and delicious tasting event.
Spoiler Alert: The Reserve Cabernet was really good. Not inexpensive, but really good.
