Here is a Moscato that is delicious and pretty versatile. It’s fairly sweet, and could make a good aperitif or even an after dinner dessert wine. The price is right too.
Wine: Mosketto Frizzante Bianco
Wine Source: Piedmont, Italy
Tasted By: Neil & Cheri Date: September, 2022
Tasting Notes: This is a frizzante wine, or fizzy. Actually you get more discrete bubbles than fizz. The nose has sweet peach and candied lemon. It is quite sweet on the palate, but still fresh and clean. You could serve this anytime, as an aperitif, after dinner, or just on a hot afternoon in the shade. At 5% alcohol it is light, which you expect from a Moscato. This is 100% Moscato.
Price Point – $12
Would We Buy It? – yes, it is a good value at $12. If you like more sweetness in your moscato then this is for you.
A votre santé!
