Here’s another excellent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. You can spend a lot more than this in Napa, but you don’t have to to get a quality wine.
Wine: 2019 Croze Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery Location: Napa Valley
Tasted By: Neil & Cheri Date: April 2024
Tasting Notes: This wine comes from two locations in Napa Valley. Ten percent is sourced from Howell Mountain, while the rest comes from the valley floor, specifically the Money Road vineyard in Oakville and Bella Oaks vineyards in Rutherford. It is a dark, puple red wine in the glass with a nose of berries and cherry, caramel and flowers. On the palate it is a bit leaner than you would expect, with some good acid and balance. Full bodied, very long and quite excellent overall, this has a solid core of fruit througout. It’s a quality Napa Cab at a reasonable price, considering what many go for. Very limited however at this point, so finding it might be a challenge.
Price Point – $70
Would We Buy It? –Yes, but we’d probably try to find it on sale. Unfortunately for this vintage it will be hard to find more at all, but it is out there.
There are so many producers in every region it is impossible to know them all. In Napa hundreds of smaller wineries make great juice. There is so much to try.
A votre santé!
